The quantities sold of cotton yarns and blended in Al-Walid Spinning Company in Homs during the past seven months amounted to about 990 tons worth one billion and 553 million Syrian pounds.
In a statement to SANA Economic Bulletin, Eng. “The company recently started transferring spinning machines from the five company in Damascus and is currently being equipped mechanically, electronically and electronically to be put into service and then complete the transfer and installation of the remaining 14 machines spinning to replace machines older than 40 years and suffer technical problems and difficulty securing spare parts” The company is also seeking to buy an air compressor, which is included in its investment plan for this year worth about 21 million Syrian pounds.
According to Roumieh, the company gives employees incentives to encourage them, all of whom are covered by medicine free of charge from the workers' hospital.
Roumieh pointed out that there are difficulties in the production and marketing process, including the difficulty of securing spare parts and exporting surplus products to international markets as a result of the economic blockade imposed on our country.
