The Speaker of the British House of Representatives, John Bercow, wants to resign from office by 31 October at the latest. That's what Bercow said in Parliament.
Bercow said he would not run for office again if MEPs vote in favor of early elections on Monday. But even in the case of a rejection of early elections he would resign at the end of the month.
