Zakaria pointed out that the pistachio tree is planted within broad climates, it has the ability to withstand the drought and the nature of the land, indicating that the demand for pistachios is very large due to lack of supply.

It is noteworthy that the cultivation of pistachios has expanded in recent years in the eastern countryside of Homs and spread over large areas in it, an important economic and food plants because it contains high nutritional value and its fruits are sold at high prices in the local market.
