German government extends arms embargo to Saudi regime

The German government today extended the arms embargo to the Saudi regime for another six months.

"There will be no approval for arms exports to Saudi Arabia until March 31, 2020," a German government spokesman told Reuters.

Last October, Germany imposed a total ban on its arms exports to the Saudi regime against the backdrop of its continued aggression against Yemen and the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi at his country's consulate in Istanbul.
