With the participation of Syria, the third extraordinary conference of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) started in Geneva, Switzerland today.
During the conference, which will continue until the 26th of this month with the participation of 192 countries will review the methodology of calculating the rates of pay for the delivery of international messages and small packets.
The head of the Syrian delegation, Director General of the Syrian Postal Corporation, Dr. Badr Ahmed, said in a press statement that the conference has three scenarios for collecting postage fees. To take appropriate decisions for the Syrian Post Corporation and ensure the effectiveness of the global postal network.
The UPU, which holds its General Conferences every four years, was established in 1874 in the Swiss capital, Bern, and has a total of 92 countries. .
