The Excellence and Creativity Commission announced today the conditions and dates of the tests of the first phase of the new season of the Syrian scientific Olympiad for the academic year 2019-2020, for students of first grade secondary students from all governorates.
In a declaration received by SANA today, the SCA said that participation in the Olympics, which it is organizing in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Youth Revolution Union, is available to students in all public and private schools and seized all types of public, private and professional in addition to the National Center of Excellence.
The Commission set the dates of the first phase tests at the level of schools for mathematics on Monday, 14 October, physics on the seventeenth of it, chemistry on the twenty-first of it, biology on the twenty-fourth and informatics twenty-eighth.
The student has the right to apply for the competition in more than one of the competencies of the Olympics at the level of schools only and then choose one specialization for the later stages, stating that the student does not incur any fees or expenses for participation in the Olympics at all stages of the training provided by or supervised by the Commission in any Stage.
Successful to the second stage at the level of educational complexes, as announced by the Commission, a maximum of 50 students in each specialty according to the sequence of their grades due.
The Syrian teams ended the season of participation in the World Olympics for 2019, achieving the broadest achievement in its record, where it culminated in all its contributions: mathematics, chemistry, biology and informatics with a silver medal, 7 bronze medals and 3 certificates of appreciation.
