The Supreme Council for Technical Education issued decisions to transfer the technical institutes' dependency to technical observers to public universities instead of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, with the continuation of existing specializations for the academic year 2019-2020.
The decisions, which SANA received today, stipulated the transfer of the technical institutes of technical observers in Damascus and Daraa from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing to Damascus University and the transfer of the technical institute of technical observers in Aleppo to Aleppo University and its integration with the technical engineering institute in the governorate.
It also stipulated that the technical institutes of technical observers in Hama should be transferred from the Ministry of Works to the University of Hama and Lattakia to Tishreen University and merged with the Technical Engineering Institute in Homs, to Al-Baath University, Al-Hasakah to the Euphrates University and Tartous to Tartous University.
