Bangladesh: Deputies should have sent doppelgänger to university exams

A politician in Bangladesh was expelled from the university for sending doubles to her exams. Her fellow students reportedly knew about it.

A delegate from Bangladesh has flown from university because she is said to have sent double-breasted women to exams. This was reported by the French news agency AFP. Tamanna Nusrat, who sits in parliament for the ruling Awami League party and studied at the Bangladesh Open University, is accused of having sent eight doubles to at least 13 tests, the university said on Monday. She should have paid the women for it.

The deception was blown up because the television station Nagorik TV had addressed one of the women in an exam room. The video spread on the Internet.

Nusrat, who was elected to parliament last year, now has to leave the university without a degree. "We excluded her for committing an offense," said Mohammad A. Mannan, University Director. Nusrat's matriculation had been revoked. She could never enroll at the university again.

A staff member at the university said Nusrat's doppelgangers were always guarded by MEPs' muscle men. "Everyone knew it, but nobody said a word because it comes from a very influential family." The MEP was not available for comment.
