After the incident, demonstrations clashed outside Prince Edward Station and Mong Kok Police Station for several months. Exit B1 was closed for more than two months. By the beginning of this month, B1 exit was reopened, and flower beds and cultural propaganda outside the exit had been cleared. Tonight, another netizen called for a memorial service outside Exit B1 of Prince Edward Station. At 8 pm, many citizens gathered outside the station and lit candles and presented white flowers. On August 31, there was a serious conflict at Prince Edward Station. Demonstrators suspected a dispute with the citizens in the car. Later, a large number of Athlon and riot police officers entered the platform on the station, pursued it on the platform, and only went to the car. The person wearing the mask waved a truncheon and sprayed Hu Shi. Many people were injured and their heads were bleeding. More than 60 people were arrested in the police incident.
After the incident, there have been rumors of wounded disappearance and "killing people" rumors that night. The government and the police have repeatedly clarified and denied that MTR released 26 screenshots of the CCTV that night. Television caused public dissatisfaction and asked MTR to surrender CCTV at Prince Edward Station that night. Since the 831 incident, citizens have paid tribute to the flowers at Exit B1 of Prince Edward Station for several days, and posted a message. MTR has not responded to the public's request. Exits B1 and C1 have been closed. By early November, the MTR reopened Prince Edward Station Exit B1, and the flower beds and cultural propaganda outside the exit had been cleared.
