Later, he was released for house arrest. In the accident, which occurred on Monday morning, Tomer Weinstein and Yaniv Logassi were killed while riding a bicycle in Kadima-Zoran.
Yonatan Fedida, a 29-year-old resident of Or Akiva, was arrested after the accident. Yesterday the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court extended his detention for three days. The driver was suspected of, among other things, the offense of double the mind, driving the head lightly, driving at speeds incompatible with the conditions of the road and damage to the property.

According to a police representative at yesterday's hearing, an initial urine test given by Padida revealed that at the time of the accident he was under the influence of drugs. Police also claim that the suspect's vehicle had structural changes not approved by the Department of Transportation in order to speed up and drive the vehicle faster.
