During the night, it will start to rain locally, accompanied by a few thunderstorms in the north. The winds will grow stronger as your father does in the south and in the center.
The Ministry of the Environment warned this evening that, from night to tomorrow in the afternoon, high air pollution is expected in all regions of the country - except Haifa, the valleys, the Galilee and the Golan, where medium-level air pollution is expected. As the rain spreads south, there will be a gradual improvement in air quality in all regions of the country, except for the Negev and Arava areas, where very high air pollution will continue.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection explained that air pollution was due to the arrival of dust in our regions, along with the wind gusts from North Africa. The high air pollution is associated with a deep depression over the eastern Mediterranean, which causes strong southwesterly winds and, consequently, dust transport from Egypt to our region.

In consultation with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of the Environment recommended for sensitive populations - including heart patients, lung patients, the elderly, children and pregnant women - to avoid strenuous exercise outdoors. The healthy population is also recommended to reduce strenuous exercise.
Air pollution and haze will disperse tomorrow when the rains arrive. In the north, showers dropped occasionally, and will be accompanied by thunderstorms. Snow fell in Hermon. In the afternoon the rain will spread to the center as well and strong winds will blow. Local sandstorms are expected in the south of the country. There is a fear of flooding on the coastal plain, with evening flooding in the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea. Temperatures will be lower than normal for the season.
