The Labor Party conference is convening this Wednesday (Wednesday) in Rishon Lezion to approve the abolition of primaries for the chairman and the Knesset list, as well as the addition of two armies to the Labor chairman, Amir Peretz, if prominent figures are drafted for the list. The armor that Peretz wants to keep to himself is provoking harsh opposition among Labor MPs and MK Itzik Shmulik decided to be absent from the conference in protest. The conference is also gathering in the background of heavy pressure on the left for Peretz to join forces with Meretz for fear that the two small parties will not pass the blockade.

Earlier this week, a tense meeting was held by the Labor Party leadership in which four Labor MKs - Shmuli, Merav Michaeli, Amar Bar-Lev and Rital Souid - expressed Peretz's disapproval of arming two top 10 armor. Those interested in arming and waiting at work fear that they will be pushed back and demanded that the armor be given only if there are candidates with proven electoral value to the party.
