The Muslim Scholars Association in Lebanon strongly condemned the Israeli enemy attempt to assassinate Bishop Atallah Hanna, Archbishop of Sebastia of the Greek Orthodox in occupied Jerusalem.

The assembly, in a statement today, described this attempt as a crime that has a brow of humanity, explaining that it comes in response to Bishop Hanna standing beside the rightful issues of the nation and denouncing and condemning the Zionist crimes.

For his part, the Secretary of the Leading Committee of the Independent Nasserite Movement "Al-Murabitun" Brigadier Mustafa Hamdan condemned the attempt of the Israeli enemy to assassinate Bishop Hanna.

Hamdan expressed, during a telephone conversation with Bishop Hanna, his wishes for recovery from the Archbishop and his return to continue his national and national role and stand in the face of the practices of the Israeli occupation.

In turn, the Secretary-General of the Nasserite Popular Organization in Lebanon, MP Osama Saad, condemned the attempt of the Israeli occupation to assassinate Bishop Hanna, describing it as a "terrorist attempt."

In this context, the Arab and Islamic grouping to support the resistance option condemned the sinful attempt of the Israeli occupation to assassinate Bishop Atallah Hanna, Archbishop of Sebastia of the Greek Orthodox, describing it as a "cowardly operation that targets a resisting voice that has never abandoned its principles and the rights of its people."

"This hideous crime comes in the context of a continuous series of crimes, assassination attempts, and cowardly targets of all honorable resistance fighters who believed in the Palestinian cause and have stood up to all attempts that strive to silence the voices of truth and justice," said Dr. Yahya Ghaddar, Secretary-General of the gathering, in a statement.

Ghaddar indicated that such attempts will not deter militants from continuing the path of resistance, regardless of the cost, from sacrifices until victory over the American Zionist enemy and its reactionary allies, the restoration of all usurped lands, and the realization of the right of return for all the Palestinian people.

The Beirut Scholars Association condemned the attempt of the Israeli occupation to assassinate Bishop Atallah Hanna, Archbishop of Sebastia of the Greek Orthodox, describing it as a "sinful and cowardly attempt."

In a statement today, the commission expressed its condemnation of this terrorist act to undermine a national figure known to stand firm in the face of Judaization and support the resistance of the occupation with courage and steadfastness at a time when reactionary regimes are calling for normalization with the usurping occupier of Islamic and Christian holy sites.

Bishop Hanna announced in a press conference the day before yesterday in a hospital in Amman that he was poisoned after inhaling chemicals that were sprayed inside the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of occupied Jerusalem, stressing that all indications are that the Israeli occupation is behind the incident.
