Lebanese and Palestinian forces today condemned the attempt of the Israeli occupation to assassinate Bishop Atallah Hanna, Archbishop of Sebastia of the Greek Orthodox, and praised the firmness of Archbishop Hanna in the face of the continuous attempts by the enemy to silence him and prevent him from declaring through the restrictions on him.
This came during a solidarity meeting with Bishop Hanna organized by Lebanese and Palestinian forces in Lebanon today.
Hassan Love God, the official of the Palestinian file in Hezbollah, said during a speech to him on this occasion that the Israeli occupation targeted Bishop Hanna because he had a word that they could not tolerate, and therefore all efforts to liberate Palestine must be reunified, stressing the need to continue the resistance in all its forms, since the enemy does not understand and is not deterred except by using the resistance .
God's love called for fortifying Arab societies by establishing national unity, preventing colonialism from entering the Arab countries, protecting the land and the people, providing competencies, and fighting corruption.
In turn, the Secretary General of the Islamic-Christian Dialogue Committee, Father Antoine, said that Bishop Hanna is the word of truth in the face of this criminal enemy and will continue to confront him with the right word based on justice in all customs and laws, indicating that the Zionist enemy and throughout its black history have been more careful in committing massacres and crimes against humanity.
For his part, the mayor of Al-Ghobeiri, Maan Al-Khalil, condemned the Israeli targeting of Archbishop Hanna, praising the firmness of Archbishop Hanna in the face of the continuous attempts by the Zionist enemy to silence him and prevent him from declaring by restricting him.
The solidarity meeting was attended by representatives of the Lebanese national parties and Palestinian factions, and a group of different personalities and actors.
Bishop Hanna announced in a press conference yesterday in one of Amman's hospitals that he was poisoned after inhaling chemicals that were sprayed inside the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in occupied Jerusalem, stressing that all indications are that the Israeli occupation is behind the incident.
