Five years have passed since one of the most mysterious deaths in Argentine history. On January 18, 2015, Alberto Nisman was found lifeless in his apartment in Buenos Aires. It was the federal prosecutor who investigated the attack on the Jewish mutual Amia, which in 1994 claimed the lives of 85 people. It was the worst terrorist attack registered in the country. According to justice, the intellectual authors of that attack were senior officials of the Iranian state, something they always denied from Tehran. The week before his death, Nisman filed a criminal complaint against the then president of Argentina, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. His Government had signed an agreement with Iran to establish a joint investigation into the attack on the Amia. For Nisman, this agreement hid a secret pact. The gun that ended the prosecutor's life fired hundreds of questions. CNN en Español will present the special program “Nisman: 5 years of questions” on Sunday, January 19 at 9pm ET.
