Some criticism from some Labor members and delegates of Amir Peretz's unsuccessful initiative for a joint run of Blue and White, Labor Bridge and Meretz in one ballot in the upcoming elections. Following a decision by Blue and White not to comply with the Peretz Initiative, the work made it clear that Peretz's move, which in the first place was likely to succeed, was a spin for failure.

"Everyone understands that it was Amir's spin," they noted at work. One Labor Party delegate told "Israel Today" that "right now Peretz has returned to the starting point and has made himself ashamed." Alongside the criticism of Peretz's spin, pressure on the chairman of the work-bridge to step up to a move to join Meretz, with the aim of forming a left-hand block and preventing the possibility of the work-bridge or Meretz collapse below the blocking percentage.

The work also raised the name of Tzipi Livni as a political factor that should be considered to be attached to the left bloc in order to increase it. Peretz himself blamed the Blue and White people for refusing his offer. "In blue and white, they prefer to be drawn to the agenda of Yoaz Handel and Zvi Hauser rather than going for a groundbreaking move to form a government of hope and change," said Labor-Bridge chairman.

"We may awaken to a government in which Bennett, Smutrich and Shaked dictate the policy. We will continue to look at what is the best option for the needed upheaval in Israel, and left-center voters knew that only a large bridge-work would guarantee the replacement of the far-right government."
