A new powerful seismic replica of preliminary magnitude 6.0 shook Puerto Rico this Saturday this Saturday, causing further damage along the south coast of the island, where recent earthquakes have collapsed houses and schools.
The United States Geological Survey said the earthquake struck 8 miles (13 kilometers) south of Indians at a depth of 6 miles (10 kilometers).

The Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority said that interruptions were reported in much of southern Puerto Rico and that the teams were assessing potential damage to power plants.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
It was the strongest shake so far since an earthquake of magnitude 6.4 occurred before dawn on Tuesday, cutting power across the island and leaving many without water. More than 2,000 people remain in shelters, many fear returning to their homes and others cannot because of the great damage.
