Police arrested a cat abuse suspect in Eilat on Thursday. The shocking case, documented in a video distributed on social networks, happened at a pizzeria in the city's tourist center. In the video, the suspect appears to be brutally kicking a cat and nearly killing her.
An Eilat municipal inspector transported the cat to veterinary care in the city and was found to be suffering from various injuries.
Since late night, Israeli police and detectives have been searching for the suspect, until his arrest today. The suspect was taken for questioning.
"We will continue the investigation to find out the circumstances of the incident, investigate the truth and work to exhaust the law with the offender," police said.
