The Supreme Steering Committee of the e-government reviewed the executive steps that have been accomplished in the field of launching services to pay bills electronically in a number of institutions during the first quarter of this year with the aim of simplifying the services provided to citizens and the central bank and the Syrian company for electronic payments were requested to complete the link with the relevant government agencies to launch Service on time.

The Ministry of Communications and Technology has been tasked with proposing the appropriate funding mechanism and training a team of Several sides to be the nucleus for the implementation of the program.

The committee asked all public authorities to complete updating their data on the e-government miniature portal in preparation for launching it in the middle of next month, approving specialized persons in each ministry and conducting the necessary training courses for them in this field.

A working group has been formed from the ministries of Communications, Administrative Development, Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Planning and International Cooperation Authority, the Center for Research and Scientific Studies and representatives from the private sector to prepare a national policy for digital content in Syria.

The Ministry of Communications and Technology has been tasked with forming a work team to follow up on providing the requirements of a secure government network to secure secure communication between government applications and accelerate the completion of the electronic signature service for the public and private sectors and the completion of technical tests to link the Syrian Electronic Payments Company with a number of service institutions in preparation for the actual launch of their services after the end of the trial phase .
