Tehran-Sana

Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Abbas Araghchi confirmed that the assassination of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani was a strategic mistake made by America that led to the creation of a major turning point in West Asia and the Gulf, which has significant geopolitical repercussions.

Araghchi indicated during a symposium held today at the Faculty of International Relations at the Iranian Foreign Ministry that the Iranian assassination and missile response increased the strength of the resistance axis, explaining that the fight against terrorist groups, including "ISIS" in the region, will continue by this axis despite all the challenges.

On the other hand, Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee in the Iranian Islamic Shura Council MP Mohammad Javad Nobendakani denounced the policies of European countries and promised that they have become part of the American President Donald Trump's anti-Iran project by activating the "conflict resolution mechanism."

"The last European troika step in activating the dispute settlement mechanism against Iran, which has committed to all its obligations in the nuclear agreement by endorsing the officials of the European Union, the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Secretary-General of the United Nations, indicates its lying during the negotiations and beyond, and this The subject will remain alive in the consciences of the Iranian people and confirm that it is part of the Trump anti-Iran project. ”
