A 19-year-old student of Chinese origin, with Italian citizenship, denounced an episode of racism which she would have fallen victim to on a regional train in Mestre. The girl, in a post on her Facebook profile, said she was insulted, with racist and sexist phrases, and filled with spits by a group of young bullies - some minors - who would have targeted her only for the evidence of its oriental origins. The story of racism is told today in the pages of some newspapers.
The young woman, who lives in Badia Polesine (Rovigo), attends the Ca 'Foscari university in Venice. Last year, at the age of 18, he received the certificate with Italian citizenship from the mayor. The racist episode, which began on the canopy of the Mestre station, would then continue on board the regional train which was to bring the 19-year-old home.
The same victim tells in the post that she reacted in tone to the group of thugs, who before going down to the station in Padua also spit on her. There was only one other boy in the compartment, who would have remained on the sidelines.
The regional directorate of Trenitalia also intervened on the episode, announcing the start of investigations and saying that it was ready to meet the girl.
