Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov announced today that Russia has sent humanitarian aid to Iran to support it in fighting the emerging Corona virus.
"We are looking at taking more possible steps in this direction," Ryabkov told Sputnik.
In Iran, there are more than 16,000 cases of this virus, and 988 people have died from infection.
The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed yesterday that the United States deliberately obstructed Iran's efforts to fight the Corona virus through inhuman sanctions imposed on Tehran, calling on the American administration to immediately lift its unilateral measures.
