Italy recorded Saturday the deadliest day since the country's Corona virus erupted when 793 people lost their lives as a result of the virus.

The overall death toll in the country increased to 4,825 people who died of covid disease19. The number of infections crossed the 50,000 threshold and now stands at 53,578 people.

Meanwhile, the Italian newspaper La Stampa reported today that during the past day, military and police forces examined 228,000 people found on the streets, of whom 9,988 received reports of a breach of the state's stringent closure rules.

The paper reported that it was the highest daily number of fines distributed in the country since the closure began, calling the behavior of the curfews "irresponsible and criminal." It was also reported that over a hundred businesses were permanently closed by police after their owners operated them without a license during the closure.

A deadly day has also passed on Spanish residents, as some 262 people died as a result of the virus and another 3,803 people were infected with the virus. The total number of infections in the country currently stands at 25,374 people.
