The clash between the president of the United States and the social network Twitter continues. Donald Trump announced Thursday (Thursday) that he will draft legislation to soften or repeal a section of the Communications Act. That part of the law protects companies that own social networks from prosecution. Trump signed a presidential decree after attacking Twitter.

Remember, the social network Twitter has decided to tag a special first link, referring to fact checking. The order could open a door to regulation that would punish not only Twitter and Facebook, but also the Google media giant. For example, users will be able to sue companies because of other users' publications.

According to a report by Reuters, experts said it was an unusual attempt to intervene in communications and legislation that would not pass legally.

According to the draft order leaked and reported on the Business Insider website, Trump is seeking to tighten federal regulation that would amend Section 230 of the United States Communications Decency Act, which gives media companies broad authority to monitor and moderate content on their networks. As mentioned, the same clause also states that the companies are not responsible for the content that users upload.

Before signing the presidential order, Trump said: "We are here today to protect freedom of speech from one of the greatest dangers."
