The struggle over the opening or closing of synagogues on Yom Kippur continues, with the Corona Cabinet being only part of the issue.

Whether tonight the government ministers decide to close the buildings or leave them open, in the end those who will decide the ultra-Orthodox public are the greats of the generation and the leaders of the Hasidim.

Thus, although in most cases the ultra-Orthodox kept the laws on Rosh Hashanah, in the Sarat Viznich Chassidut in Haifa, they violated the restrictions.

The Ministry of Health understood that this was an Achilles heel.

Tonight (Wednesday), along with the heated discussions in the Corona Cabinet, three senior members of the health system visited the homes of the great Lithuanian ultra-Orthodox generation, Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky and Rabbi Gershon Edelstein, in order to persuade them to support the closure of the buildings.

Prof. Itamar Grotto, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Roni Noma, and Prof. Ran Blicht arrived at the home of Rabbi Kanievsky and Rabbi Adsheltein and presented data to them regarding the jump in morbidity and the fear of infection.

Rabbi Edstein's men noted that "the rabbi examined, listened, inquired and asked, and will decide the issue later."

Meanwhile, in Hasidism, too, buds of support for the closure of synagogues were seen tonight (Wednesday).

The people of the house of the Rebbe of Sanz, one of the most important and great Hasidic sects in Israel, informed the thousands of Hasidim that the Rebbe would pray in the minyan at his home on Yom Kippur. "The public is called not to come outside the city."
