The state responded to the petition regarding the Prime Minister and the law enforcement system, stating that a final opinion to prevent a conflict of interest had already been submitted to Netanyahu, and the petition became irrelevant.

Tonight (Thursday), the state sent its response to the petition of the Movement for the Quality of Government to the High Court regarding the conflict of interest arrangement of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the law enforcement system.
The state's response, submitted through attorneys Yonatan Berman, Liora Weiss-Bansky and Sivan Dagan from the State Attorney's Office's High Courts Department, states that since a final opinion on conflict of interest was forwarded to the prime minister, most of the petition became irrelevant.
The State Attorney's letters were attached to the State Attorney's letters to the Ministers of Justice, Internal Security and the Media, who have relevant powers within their area of responsibility, in order to inform them of the restrictions imposed on the Prime Minister regarding their powers.
In these letters it was clarified that the ministers should refrain from liaising with the Prime Minister, or any person on his behalf, with regard to issues which he is prevented from engaging in.
It was also made clear to them that in case of doubt they should consult with the Deputy Attorney General.
Regarding the issue of appointing senior officials, Minister of Internal Security Amir Ohana stated that he is holding meetings with all Israel Police officers and some of the retired officers, in preparation for the start of the commissioner appointment process. Ohana also states that he will appoint a commissioner in accordance with the agreement. The coalition, but the said team has not yet been formed.
The Attorney General emphasized his position that coalition agreements cannot override the duty of the government and those authorized to act to fill senior positions in permanent appointments - a matter that will be examined in accordance with the rules of administrative law.
