“I heard a man say very distinctly 'I'm having a heart attack, call the firefighters',
” he says in the columns of the regional daily.
“I saw him diagonally (...).
He closed his eyes, tilted forward and took his head in his arms…
”
Around him, the schoolchildren and the few adults present did not immediately react.
The man kept calling for help - “
four times in all,
” Paul recalls.
The young boy then took out his cell phone and called for help.
“
The 18th immediately came to mind.
I described the situation, indicated where we were, gave the time… ”, he
explains.
“
The gentleman could hardly speak anymore.
It was very complicated to answer.
"
Thanks to the information given by Paul, a team of firefighters was dispatched to the scene within one minute of the call.
The 56-year-old victim was taken care of and hospitalized in Saint-Brieuc.
“
Paul's call saved this man's life.
It could have worsened, it is played by the minute,
"
Chief Warrant Officer François Ollivier
told
Ouest France
.
“
We must thank this young man, who knew how to act.
He did not remain a passive witness to this scene.
