New complications with the planned multifunctional hall on the western outskirts: After contact with the construction company was broken, those involved found a replacement.

But this increases the costs.

But you don't want to give up your dream of a large hall just yet.

Fürstenfeldbruck -

Over a year ago the volleyball players from TSV Herrsching approached the city.

They wanted an investor to build a multifunctional hall for their Bundesliga games and were looking for fellow campaigners.

You could well imagine that in the city.

Because the Brucker Panthers also want a larger hall for their handball games.

In addition, concerts and other events could fill the hall to capacity - without competing with the event forum.

Because plant manager Norbert Leinweber emphasizes that one addresses different clientele.

But in January the Herrschinger suddenly jumped out because they could book the Audi Dome in Munich for their home games.

Those involved - representatives of the TuS, other associations, the event forum and other potential users - did not want to bury the dream.

They decided to set up the project themselves.

What is clear, however, is that this must be done without the city's financial means.

She only accompanies the discussions and planning without investing herself.

"If there was money, we would have to put it in the ice rink," explains Raff.

Contact canceled

Until eight weeks ago, people were confident, reports the town hall chief.

Because the conversations were good, even a sponsor seemed in prospect.

But then there were problems with the manufacturer who was supposed to erect the air dome in lightweight construction.

The Herrschinger had brought him on board.

There were several coordination meetings and even a visit to the company in Gmund am Tegernsee.

"The representative put us off week to week," reported Raff, adding that contact was completely broken off in October.

Another company has since been found.

But after initial discussions, the air dome will be five million euros more expensive.

The upper limit for Halle and everything around it is now 20 million euros.

Therefore, the space allocation plan and profitability calculation should be revised.

"We have to look where we can save," says Raff.

TuS as a client?

One option would be to outsource the triple gym.

In any case, you are thinking about installing it as an extension next to the hall.

Now Raff wants to talk to TuS whether they would act as the client.

Then he could apply for funding from the Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV), which in turn would reduce costs.

The search for an operator should also be more difficult as a result.

The operating concept must be right, there must be no deficit in the mix of Bundesliga games and other events, emphasizes Raff. "The fact that it is more expensive makes it even more difficult." Nevertheless, he is still looking to the major project with confidence.

“Everyone is still there.

We will face the new challenge. "
