Munich - The extension of the corona lockdown until March 7th is a done deal.

That was decided by Chancellor Merkel and the Prime Ministers at the summit on February 10.

But what exactly does that mean for Bavaria?

When will there be openings again?

Here is an overview of the new regulations for the Free State.

Corona rules in Bavaria: The goal is a nationwide 7-day incidence of 35

"We are a little more cautious and reserved than others," emphasized Prime Minister Markus Söder after the summit on Wednesday evening.

The ultimate goal in the further course of the Corona * pandemic: Bavaria should come back to a 7-day incidence of 35.

But even before this important value is reached, there will soon be the first easing in the Free State.

After a cabinet meeting on Thursday, February 11, Markus Söder announced at a press conference how the new corona rules will be implemented in the future.

Corona easing in Bavaria: Schools start changing lessons, hairdressers are allowed to open

A point from this that gives parents and students a sigh of relief in particular: From February 22nd, some schools will start alternating classes.

Concretely affected by this relaxation are the final classes of the Realschule, Bos and Mittelschule, as well as the elementary schools.

If the incidence in a region is less than 100, the pupils can start the alternate classes there in just under one and a half weeks.

The situation is similar for daycare centers: “With an incidence of 100, emergency care remains,” announced Söder.

If the incidence is lower, openings should follow gradually.

As early as next Monday, February 15, the curfew in the Free State for districts where the incidence has been below 100 for more than 7 days will be lifted.

In regions where the value is above 100, the curfew will continue to apply, but in future only from 10 p.m.

Irrespective of the respective incidence values, the hairdressing salons may also reopen from March 1st.
