The passers-by on the bank couldn't believe their eyes: despite the thaw, a skater went onto the partially open ice of the Schliersee.

He was stubborn.

  • Despite the thaw, a skater went to Schliersee.

  • He needed boards to get over the already open spots on the bank.

  • The man ignored the warnings of several passers-by.

The unknown skater used this on Thursday afternoon to come across the already partially thawed bank area with his dog on the Schliersee.

A passer-by had observed the matter from the spa gardens and sent a photo to our newspaper.

"There are always unteachable people," commented the reader on the pictures.

In fact, walkers had asked the man whether he was aware of the dangers and had noticed that at the beginning of the week, despite the significantly colder temperatures, two skaters had broken into the thin layer of ice on the Schliersee and the water watch had warned against entering the lake.

“That obviously didn't interest him.” Just as little that he was a more than bad role model for children who discovered him on the ice from the bank.

After a couple of big rounds, however, the man miraculously went ashore safely.

It is time, the observer believes, that the spring-like temperatures finally make the ice disappear - and thus prevent such dangerous experiments from being carried out.

The nice weather last weekend also attracted many winter sports enthusiasts to the Spitzingsee.

However, heavily iced slopes led to a series of accidents.

The mountain rescue service was in constant use.
