On the street, the owner of Leo and Teddy is often asked about her two dogs.
The reason?
Passers-by confuse the four-legged friends with bears.
What breed of dog is behind it?
When mistress Sanela Becovic goes for a walk with the two fluffy giants in Laholm, Sweden, she says she is often stopped by passers-by.
“We live in a small town and everyone here knows it, but we still get stopped by people,” she told the British news agency

“What is that, is that a bear?” is one of the most frequently asked questions.
Another dog, Yogi, may look the part, but he's "not a teddy bear," warns his owner.

Leo and Teddy are Newfoundland dogs – what defines the dog breed?
Despite their massive appearance, Leo and Teddy are “gentle giants,” Becovic reveals to

While Leo weighs around 70 kilograms, Teddy weighs an impressive 75 kilograms.

The two dogs in XXL format are Newfoundland dogs.
Their amazing resemblance to bears was one of the reasons why Sanela Becovic chose the two four-legged friends.
Although she was initially “deathly afraid of dogs,” she always wanted a “big, fluffy bear to cuddle,” says
SWNS.
“
It's hard to explain, but I wanted one, and Newfoundlands are gentle, cuddly and have a lot of hair - he was perfect,” says the Swede.
Leo and Teddy may be gentle giants, but they still often frighten passers-by when they are out and about in Laholm, their owner Sanela Becovic told the British news agency SWNS.

Spoiled four-legged friends: Sanela Becovic and her husband do everything for Leo and Teddy
Together with her husband, Sanela Becovic ensures that Leo and Teddy lack for nothing.
That's why the couple not only bought a larger car, but also installed a ramp in the vehicle so that the two Newfoundlands can get in more easily.
Even a new, larger apartment was needed.
Leo and Teddy will have their own bedroom there.
Even a giant Great Dane is “still the baby of the family.”
For Becovic, however, it is important to convey to people that keeping Newfoundlands does not necessarily have to be as expensive and time-consuming as her two favorite dogs.
“You don’t have to invest so much money in them.
I don’t have children, so they are my children,” she explains on
SWNS.
“I’m crazy about them and spend a lot more money on them than normal people.”
