The Greens clearly won the state elections in Baden-Württemberg.
According to the ARD's first extrapolation, the party received 30.7 percent of the vote - its best result in the country to date.
The CDU slips to 23.3 percent.
The AfD brings 11.8 percent, the SPD would be 11.7 percent behind.
The FDP come to 11.3 percent.
In Rhineland-Palatinate, the SPD comes to 34.7 percent, according to ARD extrapolation, the CDU comes to 26 percent.
The AfD is 10.4 percent, the Greens 8.3 percent.
The FDP has 6.3 percent and the Free Voters 5.7 percent.
