The work that participated in the festival as a representative of the University of Damascus on the initiative of the University Theater in Sweida, according to its director, the wise director, was nominated by a special jury of leading Arab playwrights out of 28 presentations submitted by different Arab universities to be among the best “12” offers to participate in the official competition of the festival.

The show, performed by a group of talented young men and women, most of whom had never before climbed onto the stage, as its director explains, was the result of a theater workshop that lasted about 7 months for the university theater in Sweida, after which he participated in the Fourth Sweida Theater Festival last November and won the Best Scenography award to return and prove his great presence in Sohar Festival proves the ability of Syrian youth, despite all circumstances, to be creative and distinguished, and to carry the message of love, Arabism and hope for a better future, which he tried to express through his theatrical participation.

The young woman, Saba Zahr El-Din, a student at the Banking Institute in Sweida, expressed her pride in winning the best actress award at the festival. About her dream without the constraints of society.

The head of the National Union of Syrian Students in As-Suwayda, Wafa Al-Aflaq, considered that participating in the theater festival in the Sultanate of Oman on behalf of Syria and the University of Damascus represented by the university theater group in Sweida is a great honor for the Syrian youth, especially in light of the war that our country is facing to prove the will and ability of this youth to give and represent his country He is well represented and raised his banner high in international artistic and cultural forums, noting the efforts of the sane director, director of university theater in Sweida, to develop it and enable him to reach a group of talented men and women to the best levels.

The performance was attended by Salman Murshid Radwan, Saba Zahreddin, Hilal Nasreddin, Qamar Malak, Amran Zainuddin, Marah Rahroh, Qusay Mazhar, Nahawand Shalgain, Amran Safadi, Taj Naim, Tamim Hamsho and Nagham Hatoum, while the team included Rania Al Khatib, assistant director and Qusay Alamuddin in playing the oud. And Sandra Sarihi in singing, Sharif Al-Maqt in composing songs, and Sultan Naim in lighting design.
