open the accident case,
Deliveroo - the company for which it makes deliveries - asks for his identification code to be communicated.
Code only he knows and that cannot be communicated verbally, being in a coma.
The Minister of Labor
Andrea Orlando
was interested in the case
and, according to what we learn, Inail given the exceptional nature of the affair would have said it was willing to lend the necessary protections to the cycle-messenger.
This circumstance is confirmed by a note from
Deliveroo
which underlines the successful transmission of the accident file to Inail.
"The 'rider id' - underlines Deliveroo - is not a necessary data to start the practice. The rider is insured and we confirm that the practice has been managed".
"The company is, and will remain, in contact with the people closest to the rider involved in the accident, including his girlfriend."
The bellhop's girlfriend at the Este newspaper had said that it was useless to provide the 23-year-old's name, date of birth, photocopy of the document, since "these guys are reduced to a number", the so-called 'Id Rider'.
THE ACCIDENT

The facts date back to the early afternoon of last Tuesday when the 23-year-old was pedaling for work along the streets of Ferrara and, to avoid a car, he fell.
Taken to the hospital, the analyzes and investigations of the case carried out, the boy returned home but then, continuing to feel bad, was taken from 118 to the Cona hospital where they discovered an intestinal perforation, operated on urgently.
The company, which provides protection in case of injuries during deliveries, had been told to the girlfriend that, for the opening of the practice, nothing could be done without the rider's ID code.
