Because a private basement sauna overheated, there was a dangerous smoke from the basement of an apartment building in Schliersee on Pentecost Sunday evening.
The fire brigade moved out.
Schliersee -
A sauna in Schliersee (Carl-Schwarz-Straße) went into business for itself on Pentecost Sunday late in the evening.
As the police announced, the result was a slight smoldering fire, which developed a strong smoke.
An attentive neighbor alerted the rescue workers.
According to the police, it is still unclear why the sauna, which a resident of an apartment building (Carl-Schwarz-Straße) had installed in the basement, suddenly went into operation.
Around 10:45 p.m., a neighbor noticed that there was smoke from the neighboring house.
He went to the first floor apartment and could hear the smoke alarm whistling there.
The alarmed fire brigade quickly found the cause.
According to the police, the heat of the hot sweat chamber had scorched a styrofoam container.
This, among other things, caused the smoke to develop.
However, there was no damage to property or personal injury.
There were 24 emergency services from the Schliersee fire brigade, 15 emergency services from the Miesbach fire brigade, six emergency services and a patrol from the Miesbach police force on site.
