Jovenel Moïse was killed by 12 bullets in his room.

His wife, Martine, was shot twice and is being treated in a Miami hospital.

His condition is said to be stable.

Their daughter, Jomarlie, managed to hide during the assault, according to the magistrate in charge of the case, Carl Henry Destin.

The president's room and office were ransacked.
