but they finally captured the murderer who on March 4, 2020, when the pandemic was just beginning, destroyed a family in Saavedra: he
entered to rob and killed the owner of the house
with a stab in front of his wife and daughter .
The City Police detained in the last hours a 43-year-old man who had a
national and international arrest warrant
for the homicide that occurred in Conde al 4300, between Correa and Ruiz Huidobro, one block from Saavedra Park.
After a series of investigative tasks, they found him in the house where he lived in Hernández at 3100, in the Buenos Aires city of Tortuguitas, Malvinas Argentinas district.
He spent a year and five months on the run.
The defendant is 43 years old and had a warrant for his arrest.
On the night of March 4, 2020, the family slept.
It was early morning when thieves entered and
headed for the couple's room.
The man tried to defend himself and was killed by a stab in the chest.
The 45-year-old victim, an employee of a well-known service company for several years, had been a lifelong neighbor of the neighborhood but
had moved into that house ten days ago
.
At the time of the attack, he was
sleeping next to his wife and, in another room, their 6-year-old daughter
.
The crime was committed in March of last year, in Conde al 4300, in Saavedra.

After the fatal stab, the criminals fled without stealing anything.
Thus began the investigation under the orders of the District Correctional Prosecutor's Office of the Saavedra and Núñez neighborhoods, led by José María Campagnoli.
Unsafety
That tragic March 4, the house where the assault occurred in which the owner was killed was under construction.
The family, who always lived in Saavedra,
moved ahead
for the long weekend of Carnival, which fell from Saturday February 21, 2020 to Tuesday 25.
Although they had not yet finished with the repair work, they had to do it because in February 2020
they had entered to steal tools and construction materials

The suspect in the crime was found in Tortuguitas.
In that same area near Parque Saavedra, on January 14, 2020, they had killed a 71-year-old retiree who had also been robbed of her house, located in Vilela at 2900, at the intersection with Crámer Avenue.
