The petitioner accuses the Nobel Laureate musician of exploiting his status, and of the anxiety and depression she suffers from to this day.

Storm in the US:

The esteemed musician and Nobel Laureate in Literature, Bob Dylan, is accused of suing a 12-year-old girl and intoxicating her with alcoholic beverages while sexually abusing her in 1965.

According to the British Guardian newspaper, the prosecution alleges that the beloved folk singer became friends and formed an emotional bond with the petitioner known as JC, for six weeks, all with the aim of sexually abusing her.

The 68-year-old petitioner filed the lawsuit on Friday.

She currently lives in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA.

According to her, Bob Dylan used his status as a musician in his 20s to acquire her faith and control it in the run-up to the sexual assault.

According to the complaint, Dylan threatened the minor with violence and left her emotionally scarred and with psychological damage from which she suffers to this day.

JC testified that she suffers from persistent depression and anxiety, which impair her ability to participate in normal activities.

It was further alleged that the singer sexually assaulted the minor numerous times, with some of the incidents taking place at the Chelsea Hotel in Manhattan.

Petitioner is now demanding compensation and putting Dylan on trial for sexual assault and creating emotional distress.

A spokesman for the musician told the Guardian that it was a 56-year-old false accusation and that Dylan would receive legal protection.
