Yasmín Flores (31) and Soledad Vargas (39) were joined by a tragic fate: they decided to improve their body, they looked for a professional on social media and chose the same plastic surgeon.

The two ended up dead.

Yasmín was from Caseros and passed away on April 27.

Soledad was from Lanús and passed away on July 30.

According to the complaint, the professional who operated on them, Roberto López, abandoned them after the interventions, which were considered to be of low complexity.

In addition, a former assistant to the doctor offered to appear as a witness and assured that he was

operating "drunk" or "past marijuana or ecstasy,"

as indicated in some chats via WhatsApp that were incorporated into the file investigated by the Buenos Aires Justice.

Yasmín's case

Yasmín was the mother of a girl of 8 and a boy of 4. A housewife, she had been in a relationship with Lucas González (26) for almost seven years.

At the beginning of the year, he began to search, through Google, Instagram and Facebook, for a plastic surgeon to do a liposuction and thus reduce the abdomen.

"Immediately the advertisements began to reach him and one of those was that of this doctor,"

After paying 250,000 pesos, Yasmín was operated on April 20 at the Microsurgery Clinic, in Perón in 1800, where López rented the operating room.

"Two hours later he was in the room, but when he was going to be discharged, his pressure dropped. She was very sore, it was difficult for her to get up, walk," says the young woman's widower.

What did the surgeon answer him?

"

You have to bank it, it's normal, try to accommodate yourself differently

."

The truth is that, three days later, Yasmín returned to the office on Lavalle Street to have the drains removed.

"

The operation was a success,

" Lopez celebrated.

"

Take her to a guard, when I leave the operation I'll call you

," the doctor told him.

They barely walked five steps into the room of their house that Yasmín collapsed.

"

I'm going to die,

" he repeated to his partner, while the 4-year-old boy, who had slept on a mattress on the floor, next to his parents, watched the situation in terror.

Lucas and his father-in-law took the young woman to the Sanatorio Modelo, in Caseros, but she did not react again.

The case of Soledad

Soledad was 39 years old, she was the mother of 19-year-old twins and lived in Lanús with them and her husband.

"She was a super healthy person, she had no bad habits, she studied, she was a housewife and she sold clothing and footwear with an online store," recalls her sister, Celeste (29), whose family has Gustavo Rubio as a lawyer.

The woman also wanted to undergo a liposuction on the abdomen - plus a dermolipectomy, to correct excess fat and skin - and found López through Instagram (the account has already been terminated, as has the Facebook account).

"She had good comments.

They convinced her that it was an offer and they charged her 200 thousand pesos,

" he adds.

The operation was also done at the Perón clinic in 1800, on July 27.

"I got home at 7:30 p.m., I was in a lot of pain," says Celeste, who is a nurse.

"

It is nothing, it is psychological,

" the doctor minimized.

Soledad Vargas (39) died after cosmetic surgery.

He had twin daughters.

Three days later, she walked two steps and claimed she was dizzy.

"

I'm short of breath, take off my girdle,

" he said before passing out.

They called 107, but they did not want to send them an ambulance because they were warned that whoever had operated it should take over.

They suffered the same in a health room in Lanús.

They contacted López, who said she had "a friend" at Penna Hospital and asked them to transfer her there.

"We had to carry her on a sheet with my boyfriend, my brother-in-law and my niece," says Celeste.

They reached the Penna and the surgeon was waiting for them at the door.

"They kept her there for three hours, they came out all the time and told us that she had a small thrombosis in her head, which was not serious, although she was wearing an oxygen mask," explains the sister.

The chats of the plastic surgeon who operated on Yasmín Flores and Soledad Vargas, with one of his assistants.

At that hospital they decided to refer her to Ramos Mejía.

"Five minutes after they made her come in, they told us: '

How did they send her like that? She is in critical condition, she suffered a stroke, she has respiratory failure and compromised lungs

.'"

As the minutes passed, López asked to leave through another door and disappeared.

Shortly before noon, Soledad died.

The surgeon is being investigated for malpractice, although the attorneys for the victims' families intend to be charged with negligent manslaughter.

In addition to these two cases, in the last hours another complaint was added for "

culpable injuries

" by a woman from Florencio Varela who was very ill after a liposuction in the abdomen.
