The heavy rains in Mexico unleashed serious floods in the State of Mexico and Hidalgo, in the center of the country. At least 18 people are reported dead, 16 of them patients at a hospital in Tula, Hidalgo, as confirmed by the authorities

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador activated the DNIII emergency plan to "help, support the victims" and all the families affected by the rains.
