Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Miqdad, discussed with the Executive Director of the United Nations Development Program Achim Steiner in New York today the work of the program in Syria and ways to enhance its activities in terms of early recovery and support for resilience.
During the meeting, the necessity of approving the strategic framework for cooperation between the Syrian government and the United Nations as soon as possible in order to allow the program to move forward in its development activities.
The meeting was attended by the Syrian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari, the Permanent Representative of Syria to the United Nations Bassam Sabbagh, Dr. Abdullah Hallaq, Director of the Special Office Department, and Majd Nial from the permanent delegation.
