The Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdullah Bu Habib, criticized the Saudi regime's handling of Lebanon against the backdrop of its hardening stance regarding the recent crisis, stressing that problems between countries are resolved through dialogue.
Bou Habib said in a television interview tonight: “There is Saudi cruelty that we do not understand in dealing with Lebanon. The problems between any two countries are resolved through dialogue before severing relations, and this did not happen,” noting that the crisis cell formed after the crisis that erupted with Saudi Arabia ended and failed because of External and internal factors,” stressing at the same time that the government “is here to stay, and there are local and international promises to support it.”
Bou Habib added: "We do not accept solving any crisis at the expense of Saudi Arabia or at the expense of Lebanon, and we are with any dialogue, whether it is bilateral or through the Arab League," noting that there is no dispute with all Gulf countries.
Last Friday, the Saudi regime decided to recall its ambassador in Lebanon for consultations and asked the Lebanese ambassador in Riyadh to leave within 48 hours.
The Saudi regime protested against old statements made by the Lebanese Minister of Information, George Qardahi, before assigning him to his post, in which he demanded to stop the war waged by the Saudi regime on Yemen, describing it as aggression.
