The rain and stormy weather today (Thursday) were just the opening for a particularly wet weekend.

According to Nahum Melnik, a Meteo-Tech forecaster, "We are facing a rainy and cold weekend."

According to the forecast, the rain will continue strongly on Friday, and it is expected to rain in the north and center of the country.

The rains may also reach the Negev.

Occasional thunderstorms are expected, and there may even be snow on Mount Hermon.

The system will strengthen at night and temperatures will drop further.

Due to the rains there is a fear of flooding along the coastal plain.

On Saturday it will rain in the north and center accompanied by isolated thunderstorms.

There is a risk of flooding in the northern coastal plain and the central coastal plain.

On Saturday afternoon the rains will decrease in the center and continue in the north.

A lull in the rain system will apply on Sunday, and then a rise in temperatures is also expected.

On Monday there will be a change in the weather and the rains will return to the area and continue on Monday, Tuesday and possibly also on Wednesday.

It will be cold and snow is expected on Mount Hermon.

In early winter, in November and early December, it was relatively warm.

We are now seeing a change in the trend and penetration of colder air into our area, which allows snow to fall on Mount Hermon.
