Sources in the Ministry of Health told Israel Today that it is estimated that red countries will be updated every few days, without committing to the gap between the updates.

What should be done before returning to Israel?

It is mandatory to perform a PCR test within 72 hours before returning to Israel or an antigen test at a qualified place within 24 hours before returning to Israel.

Everyone is required to fill out an entry form within 48 hours before returning to the country.

Recovered from the last three months and those who have been abroad for less than 72 hours are exempt from the examination before returning to Israel. The 72 hours are counted from the moment they land at the destination until the moment they take off.

In which cases is there a refund for the flight?

Each airline has a different policy.

It is important during this period to purchase flexible tickets that will allow for refunds or change of date, depending on your convenience.

Many airlines offer to purchase flexible tickets for an additional fee, usually a few tens of dollars.

If the flight is canceled by the airline, the passenger is entitled to a full refund.

There are airlines that offer vouchers for future realization at a value higher than the price of the flight.

If the flight takes off and you have not purchased a flexible ticket with favorable cancellation or change terms, you will likely have to pay a considerable amount for the ticket.

Can tourists enter Israel?

Tourists are not yet allowed to enter, and at the moment the return of tourists to the country is not expected.

There are exceptional cases in which foreigners are allowed to enter Israel, and they go through a committee of the Population and Immigration Authority.
