Turned on him.

It's official.

Israel's great friend, Netanyahu's soulmate, says in a surprising interview with Barak Ravid that Bibi never wanted peace, while Abu Mazen was ready for it.

No less and no more.

The interview given by the former American president to one of the most important journalists in Israel - amazing, and much more appropriate, for informal conversation, not for quotation or attribution, but Trump like Trump: he says what he thinks, and thinks what he says.

Part of his remarks stem from childish anger over Netanyahu congratulating Joe Biden on his election, last year, as president (instead of joining the bizarre claim that the American election was fake, rather than acknowledging its results ...). Part of his endless ignorance (he said, he asked for five minutes of an explanation of the Golan Heights, before acknowledging its annexation to Israel, and interrupted the explanation after a minute, when he "realized" that this was an important real estate deal worth tens of billions of dollars). He understood the demographic problem (remember his statement to Abdullah II, King of Jordan, that if Israel did not withdraw from the territories, it would have a prime minister named Muhammad?), And Israel's existential need to reach the border between it and the Palestinians. Trump was disappointed. That Netanyahu paid lip service to peace, and did not mean it. In his superficial and childish analysis, Trump understood the simple truth: the one who really has no partner in our sad story is the Palestinian side.Refusing even to meet the elderly and peace-loving leader, who sits half an hour away from him.

Not a protective wall. The Minister of Internal Security, Amar Bar-Lev, was right when he spoke about the need to treat settlers who harm Palestinian residents in various ways with the utmost severity. The "aliyah" that was opened against him by the Minister of the Interior, Ayelet Shaked, and others, stemmed from a fundamental disregard for Israel's responsibility as the controlling force in the territory, and the obligation - under international law - to ensure the security of the people living in the occupied territory. The argument that Palestinian terrorist acts are many of those of the settlers is as true as it is not of the kind in question. We are acting with great determination against Palestinian terrorism, and we are failing when it comes to Jewish terrorism.

Prime Minister Bennett is also wrong in saying that "the settlers are the defensive wall of Israel." But one does not have to be a great security expert to understand that the children in kindergartens in the West Bank protect us just as the children in the Golan Heights kibbutzim defended Israel in the Yom Kippur War, until we had to evacuate everyone from there.

All birds are programmed.

There is, apparently, no limit to the willingness of social media users to adopt angular contact theories, and there are always people who are willing to believe in them, demonstrate for them, and even take risks for them.

The hottest conspiracy theory states that birds are nothing more than small skimmers, which provide intelligence services to someone.

Its inventor holds a degree in philosophy and English from the University of Memphis, named Peter McKindo.

He has hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram, and many of them wholeheartedly believe that anything that looks like a bird in the sky is, truly, an intelligence tool.

An American friend expressed concern that people would soon start shooting at birds to "protect themselves."

The unbearable ease with which people with insane ideas and manipulative ability can motivate masses to do deeds they would not otherwise have thought of doing is reminiscent of chapters in modern history that we would rather forget.

Were we wrong?
