Eilat police today (Sunday) uncovered an underground laboratory for growing cannabis that was hidden under a kitchen in a house in the city.
The drop to the lab was hidden under a moving tile using a dedicated app installed on its owner’s smartphone.

"During an initiated activity by detectives from the Eilat area in one of the apartments in the city, they noticed a tile in the kitchen that aroused their suspicion," the police statement said.
"Examination of the tile revealed a door that led to an underground marijuana lab where dozens of seedlings and dried plants were found."
The two suspects in the act were detained and taken for questioning in the Eilat area, at the end of which one of them was arrested.
Tomorrow the police will ask to extend his detention, while the other is released on parole.
