On the occasion of the approaching Christmas, Al-Hasakah City Council and the Student Union branch, in cooperation with charities and religious bodies, lit the Christmas tree this evening in Mr. President Square in the city center, with an official and popular presence.
In statements to SANA reporter, the head of the city council, Eng. Adnan Khajo, that lighting the tree is a title for spreading joy and giving a festive character that reflects the love and harmony of the people of Al-Hasakah city with all its social components, and it is a message to the whole world that the Syrian people love life, peace, security and stability despite the terrorist war that tried to strike stability and sabotage the fabric social.
Head of the branch office for Al-Hasakah students, Alaa Al-Tala`, said that lighting the tree is an expression of happiness among the social components of the governorate, which was and will remain a symbol of love and brotherhood despite all the inconveniences it faces.
In this context, the project (Sawa Shabab) of the Al-Awda Charity Association illuminated Palestine Street in the city center and decorated it with Christmas colors with the support of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
The project manager, Ayham al-Hamdush, said that the initiative of the project is to light Palestine Street from the Najma area to the end of the street and decorate it with the colors of the New Year holidays to spread hope and optimism among the people of the city and give a civilized character.
The participants from the people expressed their happiness with these festive manifestations, which confirm that joy is worthy of the people of Hasakah despite all the difficulties they are going through in light of the presence of militias and occupiers who are trying to maintain the continuation of chaos and spread terror and fear among the people of the province, stressing that they continue to revive the celebrations and participate as an expression of their love for Syria, wishing That the new year be a year of advancement, reconstruction and stability.
