A resident of Beit Hanina, who was arrested on Friday on suspicion of abusing a person with a disability in a video circulated on social media, was released from custody that day.
The victim's family asked for the public's help over the weekend and told about his difficult mental condition due to the incident.
Avital, the sister of the disabled person, wrote on her Facebook page: "I beg your help. In the last day, videos have been distributed showing my brother, a disabled person, photographed by an Arab guy posing as a policeman and abusing his helpless brother, threatening to take him by force while in custody. "While my brother runs away from him. My brother is scared, in terrible trauma, and we are in pain and crushed for the injustice done to him."
In a post published on Friday, which she asked to share, she writes: "The suspect arrived at the trial this morning and it was decided to release him on bail - a shame to the justice system. "An ordinary person, and such an incident in his life causes him a lot of damage. We are not prepared for this thing to happen that way."
"After much deliberation we decided to share the videos openly because we have nothing to be ashamed of and it is important for us to win this war for the helpless," Avital said.
"We are their crying voice - help us fight and together women end up abusing them. I ask for your help to make a noise on the net so that he gets the full severity of the law, such a person his place in prison! Only then can we make the justice system back from this delusional decision."
Recall, in a video taken by the arrested suspect, he can be seen telling the disabled person that he will take him for questioning at the police station and put handcuffs on his hands.
The video was circulated on social media and in response the police opened an investigation into the case.
The suspect, a resident of Beit Hanina in his 20s, was later located and taken for police investigation.
