The Bavaria weather forecast for the coming week is mixed.
First a lot of sun, then cold and rain up to snowfall.
Meanwhile, the DWD is urgently warning.
Munich - At the weekend, people in Bavaria could look forward to lots of sun in many places.
However, the temperatures have dropped a lot compared to last week.
Rather mild temperatures around ten degrees were replaced by icy values around freezing point.
The weather at the start of the week brings a lot of sunshine again.
Only in Swabia and Upper Bavaria does it initially remain cloudy, as the German Weather Service (DWD) predicts.
From the middle of the week, Bavaria faces a change in weather.
Weather in Bavaria: After sunny days, rain and snow come
The cloudiness will increase again from Wednesday. "The high air pressure to the west of us is weakening," says a forecast from
wetter.net.
Then sleet can be expected in the east of Bavaria. Meteorologist Jan Schenk from
The Weather Channel
had already announced snowfall from the beginning of the week. However, the forecasts have probably been pushed back a little.
Wetter.net
and
weather.com
now only predict the snow for Thursday.
In the state capital, too, there should be white flakes again.
However, the snow is unlikely to stay in Munich.
According to the weather map, only two centimeters of fresh snow should fall.
Most of the snow will probably come from the sky in the Alps and on the edge of the Alps.
Up to ten centimeters are possible in Berchtesgadener Land, for example.
Schenk is also confident about Christmas: "I'm pretty sure that there will be a white Christmas very often"
DWD issues official warnings of “squalls” and “slipperiness”
Meanwhile, the DWD is issuing official warnings for large parts of the Free State.
In almost all of Bavaria, a warning of frost will apply from tonight.
Only the majority of Lower and Middle Franconia are not affected.
In addition, a warning of slipperiness applies in the entire south-east and east of Bavaria from 8 p.m. on Sunday evening to 11 a.m. on Monday.
"In some places you have to expect slippery conditions due to freezing wetness and little fresh snow," writes the DWD.
Several DWD warnings currently apply to the Free State.

On the border with the Czech Republic, the DWD warns of gusts of wind for some districts.
"There are gusts of wind above 1000 m at speeds of up to 80 km / h (22m / s, 44kn, Bft 9), initially from the west and later from the northwest," it says.
The districts of Cham, Regen and Freyung-Grafenau are affected.
The warning is still valid until 9 p.m. on Sunday.
One should pay particular attention to falling objects, advises the DWD in this context.
"For example, individual branches can fall down."
