An investigating judge, against whom Éric Dupond-Moretti had instituted administrative proceedings when he arrived at the Ministry of Justice, filed a complaint after discovering the existence of a white note, a "
secret file
" which "
slandered him

Édouard Levrault, 44, who had been seconded to Monaco from 2016 to 2019, is "
a magistrate whose probity and competence are exemplary, and he was the subject of inadmissible treatment
", reacted his lawyer Me François Saint-Pierre, requested by AFP.
Édouard Levrault, now stationed in Nice, filed a complaint against X in Paris in mid-January for illegal processing of personal data, slanderous denunciation and concealment of these crimes.
This magistrate had been seconded from 2016 to Monaco, where he investigated corruption cases and indicted in particular the Monegasque Keeper of the Seals.
After three years in office, the Monegasque judicial authorities had not renewed his duties in the summer of 2019.
Cowboy methods
Discovering a few days later in the press the existence of a white note in his name, accusing him of putting "
in danger the proper functioning of the criminal chain
", he obtained the opening of an investigation in Monaco.
It is in this context that the director of the French judicial services had to submit, on September 16, 2021, this note received in his service on June 22, 2019, concerning the "
communication elements relating to the non-renewal of Mr. Levrault's secondment
".

Judge Levrault had in particular indicted a senior Monegasque policeman, defended by Éric Dupond-Moretti.
The latter had criticized the judge's "
cowboy
" methods , after the magistrate spoke on television in 2020 on this case, denouncing the pressures he allegedly suffered.
